Biography of Thomas R. Dean
Thomas Dean received a B.Sc.(Hon) and M.Sc. in Computational Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 1986 and 1988 respectively. In 1993 he obtained a Ph.D. in Computing and Information Science from Queen's University at Kingston, Canada. He worked with air traffic control interfaces and simulations at the Royal Military College of Canada during a brief break in his Ph.D. studies.
Tom continued at Queen's as a post doctoral fellow in 1994 and 1995, where he worked on formalization of design methods with Dr. David Lamb. In 1995 became a Sr. Research Scientist at Legasys Corp. in Kingston. At Legasys he worked on design recovery and automated transformation of legacy systems.
