Throughout my career, my research has focused on two topics, programming languages/software transformation and software/network security. I continue to be interested in formal linguistic approaches to software engineering, such as the application of grammar programming and software transformation. My long term goal is the discovery of techniques that increase the correctness and reliability of software systems through the use of grammar programming and software transformation. One of the ways we can reduce errors and risk is by reducing repetitive tasks and concentrating the manual effort on those tasks that require human ingenuity and creativity.
